NORMA ORR DUPREE, 87, of Shreveport, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 1999, at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel in Coushatta, with the REV. DON VERCHER, grandson, officiating. Interment was in Clear Springs Cemetery in Coushatta. MRS. DUPREE passed away on Sunday, July 25, 1999 in Shreveport. She was a native of Coushatta, and had lived in Shreveport for the last seven years. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church of Coushatta for 70 years. She was a loving, giving person, both to her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, GARVIS COLE DUPREE; her daughter, GARVIS NELL MANGUM; granddaughters, MARTHA W. MARTIN; sons-in-law, FLOYD WHITTEN and WILLIAM S. ADKINS, JR, her parents; one sister and seven brothers. She is survived by two daughters, LELA M. LEWANDOWSKI and husband, JOHN J. of Bossier City, and NORMA D. MOORE and husband, ANDREW of Shreveport; son-in- law, ERNEST MANGUM of Shreveport; two sisters, OPAL and LELA SCOTT, both of Natchitoches; nine grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. Pallbearers were grandsons, TIMOTHY JOHN LEWANDOWSKI, GARY WAYNE SWINDLE, DON BERCHER, PAT BOOSE, ROCKY BERLIN, and TRACY MILNER. Honorary Pallbearers were grandsons, PAUL GARVIS LEWANDOWSKI, TOM ALDREDGE, and great-grandsons, ANDREW PAUL LEWANDOWSKI, MICHAEL ALDRREDGE, MORGAN ALDREDGE, JAMIE TURNER, ROBERT MARTIN and JOHNATHAN SIMMONS. The family extends a special tahks to the Heritage Manor Westwood Nursing Home staff and residents for their kindness to MRS. DUPREE during the last four years.
