   LOGANSPORT, LA. -- Services for MARTHA M. ELLIOTT, age 85, of Longstreet, 
will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in 
Coushatta. Officiating will be REV. BOB LATHAM of Antioch Baptist Church of 
Mansfield. Interment will be in the Old Chapel Cemetery in Coushatta. The 
family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m., Nov. 19, 2207 at Rose-Neath's 
Coushatta Chapel.
   MRS. ELLIOTT, born Sept. 5, 1922, in Martin and passed away Saturday, Nov. 
17, 2007. She was a graduate of Martin High School. She was a loving wife, 
mother, sister, and Ma to everyone who knew and loved her, and Aunt Miriam to 
her nieces and nephews. She was a woman of Proverbs 31:10-31.
   MRS. ELLIOTT was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, JAMES 
ELLIOTT, JR.; her parents, AULSIE and ALMA RUTH WOODARD; one daughter, EDITH 
MARIE ELLIOTT; two brothers, JOHN and GLEN WOODARD; and three sisters, CLOTILE 
CANNON, NORMA ALEXANDER and SALLY VAUGHN.
   Survivors include her three sons, WILLIAM ELLIOTT and wife, BENNIE of 
Birmingham, AL., ROBERT ELLIOTT and wife, GENEVAof Blanchard, La., HAROLD 
ELLIOTT of Longstreet, La.; six daughters, BETTY GALLASPY and husband, JAMES, 
of Manfield, La.; BONNIE FREE and husband, GERALD of Campti; MARY CLINTON and 
husband, ALBERT, of Longstreet; MARTHA HOOVER and husband, BILL, of Bristol, 
Tn.; TERRY SPARKS and her late husband, JACKIE of Grand Cane, and AULSIE YATES 
and her husband, CLARK. of Belmont; three sisters, GREACE LINDSEY and her late 
husband, JOHN R., of Haughton, LAURA COOPER and her late husband, BOB, of 
Houston, Tx., IMA JEAN SMITH and her late husband, HENRY E., of Shreveport; 27 
grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and a 
host of nieces and nephews, and a special brother and sister, LANE and LIZ COX 
and their family of Beaumont, Tx.
   Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, RANDY GALLASPY, DARREL 
ELLIOTT, JEFF WHERRY, BRAD SMITH, MICHAEL COOPER, JASON SPARKS and TRAVIS 
ELLIOTT. Honorary pallbearers will be her other grandsons, TREY YATES, ADAM 
SPARKS, PRESTON ELLIOTT, BRIAN ELLIOTT and MATTHEW COOPER.
   The family would like to express a very sincere thank-you to MAXINE 
CARPENTER, ANN MORAN, LIZ McDANIEL, KITTY VINES, DIEDRE TERAI and TERRY 
PARKER, whe were devoted to the loving care of their mother for the last two 
years, and whom their mother dearly loved.
