   SHREVEPORT, LA. -- Graveside services will be conducted at Centuries 
Memorial Park Cemetery for JOHN D. HAND, JR., [a native of Coushatta], age 81, 
of Shreveport, La. on Friday, Feb. 3, 2006 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be REV. 
JIM VAN HOOK. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time. MR. HAND 
passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006 after a sudden illness. He was an avid 
Ham Radio Operator with the call letters W5JTB.
   He was preceded in death by his parents, JOHN HAND, LESSIE CRAWFORD, and 
one daughter, DONNA REED. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, LEE HAND; 
two sons, DR. LARRY D. HAND and wife, STACEY of Shreveport, la.; and JOHN B. 
HAND of Lake Charles; one brother, HENRY HAND of Bossier City, La. and four 
grandchildren.
   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, 
P. O. Box 599, Lenox Hill Station, NY, Ny 10021-0004.
