   COUSHATTA, LA. -- Services for MR. WALTER W. JACKSON, 81, of Coushatta, 
will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at Clear Springs Chapel at Martin, 
La. The REV. WILEY COLE will officiate. Burial will be at Clear Springs 
Cemetery under the direction  of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Coushatta.
   MR. JACKSON died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 1986, at Highland Hospital in 
Shreveport after a  lengthy illness.
   He is survived by his wife, SYBIL JACKSON of Coushatta; one daughter, 
SYLVIA JACKSON CARROLL of Shreveport; four sisters, ISA JACKSON SMITH of 
Smackover, Ark., LUMMIE MILLER of Dixie Inn, La., LEOLA WILLIAMS of West 
Monroe, La., and MATTIE ROGERS of Lawton, Okla.; one brother, MERCE JACKSON of 
Smackover, Ark.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
   Pallbearers will be J.D. KERR, BUDDY HUCKABAY; TOM MANGHAM, DR. ROBERT 
HERNANDEZ, DR. THOMAS EDWARDS, WILEY HOLLEY, JAMES HOLLEY and LLOYD HOLLEY.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Clear Springs 
Chapel or Cemetery or the American Cancer Society.
