Officiating will be DR. ED. THOMAS, retired pastor of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 5, 1999, at the funeral home. MRS. JOWERS passed away Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1999, at the age of 90 at Christus Shumpert Medical Center after a brief illness. she was a native of Coushatta, a former resident of East Texas and a resident of Shreveport. MRS. JOWERS was a retired cafeteria supervisor in the Texas School System. She was a member of the Broadmoor United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, LEVY NOLAN JOWERS. Survivors inlcude a daughter, BETTY VICKERS and husband, DR. BENJAMIN VICKERS, grand-daughter, TAMI WHITE and husband, DR. KELLY WHITE; grandson, DR. GREGORY VICKERS and wife, LISA; great grandchildren, COLE VICKERS, JACOB VICKERS, HARRIS WHITE and KATIE WHITE; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be GEORGE ADCOCK, D. W. ADCOCK, THOMAS LOFTIN, WILLIAM PAUL CUMMINGS, TOM HANNIGAN and DR. JOHN STAFFORD. The family extends a very special thanks to CLARICE and DORIS, and to her "special guardian angels," CRYSTAL and FRANCES.
