LAURIE "PENT" LOFTIN, 83, of Hall Summit, were held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at Rose-Neath Chapel in Coushatta with the REV. W. C. MALONE and the REV. JOHN PARKER officiating. Interment was in Social Springs Cemetery in Hall Summit. MR. LOFTIN passed away Jan. 13, 2001. He was born in Red River Parish. He was a salesman with Interstate Electric Company in Shreveport, a Veteran of WW II, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and of the Hall Summit Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, CLYDELLE LOFTIN of Hall Summit; a son, MICHAEL LOFTIN and wife, LORI of Mobile, Ala.; daughter, DIANE WIMBERLY and husband, DAVID, of Kilgore, Tx.; sisters, ESSIE MARTIN of Shreveport; MAXINE ROBINSON of Coushatta; sister-in-law, NONA MAE MOORE and husband, REGINAL, of Castor; grandchildren, AUBRY ABSHIRE and JOSH WIMBERLY, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were WARREN PERKINS, ROBERT PERKINS, JOHN PERKINS, DONNIE PERKINS, JOSH WIMBERLY, AUBRY ABSHIRE. Honorary pallbearers were the Deacons of Hall Summit Baptist Church, SCOTT PAGE, FORD HARPER, ELTON WOMACK, PAUL SNEAD and MAX WOOD. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Coushatta.
