L. J. LOFTIN, 90, of Coushatta, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel with the REV. RICK McDONALD officiating. Interment was in Thomas Wren Cemetery in Martin. MR. LOFTIN passed away Jan. 1, 2001 in Coushatta. He was born in Red River Parish. He was preceded in death by his wife, LIZZIE L. LOFTIN, brothers, MERCE and PHILIP LOFTIN. Survivors include sons, GARY LOFTIN and wife, KARLA, of Doyline; JOE HENRY LOFTIN and wife, MARY of Martin; sister-in-law, MARGUERITE LIBERMANN LOFTIN of Bossier City; brother, WILLIAM HENRY LOFTIN and wife, LIOLA of Martin; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were HUEY LONG, DONALD LONG, CLYDE DANIEL CANNON, O. B. CANNON, MIKE LOFTIN and DAVID LOFTIN.
