   MINDEN, LA. -- Services for MR. JAMES BONNIE LOFTIN, 60, will be held at 10 
a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, where he was a 
member and deacon. Officiating will be REV. RANDY HALES, assisted by REV. 
CLIFF ESTESS; and a eulogy will be given by KEN ROWE. Graveside services will 
be in Holly Springs Cemetery near Coushattam, conducted by REV. GUY MURPHY.
   MR. LOFTIN passed away suddenly Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001 in Minden. He was a 
native of Red River Parish and had been a resident of Minden for 36 years. MR. 
LOFTIN was retired from the U. S. Department of Agriculture with 36 years of 
service. He was a graduate of the Coushatta High School and the Northwestern 
State University in Natchitoches. MR. LOFTIN was past president of the Hickory 
Bluff Hunting Club.
   He was preceded in death by his father, JAMES GUTHRIE "GUS" LOFTIN in 1958, 
and step-father, WILEY MURREL CUMMINGS in 1997.
   Survivors are his wife, NELDA RIGDON LOFTIN of Minden; his mother, OLETA 
RALEY LOFTIN CUMMINGS of Coushatta; son, JAMES GREGORY "GREG" LOFTIN and his 
wife, STEPHANIE of Minden; sister, ANN LUCIUS and her husband, DAN, of 
Baytown, Tx.; a special brother-in-law, MIKE RIGDON and his wife, NORMA,of 
Shreveport; a special sister-in-law, CAROL ALLISON and her husband, DOUG, of 
Birmingham, Al.; two special cousins, SUE McCAIN and JAMES TERRY RIGDON, and a 
host of friends.
   Pallbearers will be deacons of the Emmanuel Baptist Church. Honorary 
Pallbearers will be members of the Hickory Bluff Hunting Club. Memorial may be 
made to the Arthritis Foundation and Emmanuel Bapttist Church.
