   Funeral services for MRS. JOHN E. MORELAND (MRS. LOUIE INEZ COLE MORELAND), 
83, of Hall Summit, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 31,1996, at Rose-Neath's 
Coushatta Chapel with the REV. JOHNNY TIPTON, officiating, assisted by REV. M. 
D. OWENS. Burial was in Social Springs Cemetery.
   MRS. MORELAND passed away March 29, 1996 at Ringgold Nursing Care Center in 
Ringgold, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Bienville Parish and 
was a  longtime resident of Hall Summit.
   She was preceded in death by her parents, MR. JAMES S. COLE and GLENNIE 
STEWART COLE; one sister, MRS. O. L. McCONATHY.
   Survivors include her husband of 64 years, MR. JOHN E. MORELAND of HALL 
SUMMIT; one daughter, GLORIA SNOW and husband,, GLORIA SNOW and husband, OWEN 
of Hall Summit; four sisters, MARY GRACE NORRID of Gurdon, Ar.; MABEL and RUTH 
COLE OF Shreveport; and MRS. PAUL WILLIAMS of Shreveport; three brothers, 
MORELL COLE and wife, ELIZABETH; CECIL COLE and wife, MARY, all of Shreveport; 
and MARVIN COLE and wife, SHIRLEY, of El Dorado, Ar.; five grandchidren,and 16 
great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
   Pallbearers were grandchildren: W. GARY LOFTIN, CHARLES RAY LOFTIN, JOHN 
LOFTIN, and nephew, MARVIN BOOTHE, sons, CHARLES E.. MORELAND and JOHN ROY 
MORELAND.
