Rev. Bill Hines officiated. MR. SMITH, a retired Deputy Sheriff of Red River Parish, died Wednesday,m Feb. 23, 2000, in Shreveport. A native of Red River Parish, MR. SMITH was a former resident of Coushatta and a resident of Shreveport. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, JUANITA H. SMITH. Survivors are one son, WALTER SMITH, JR. and wife, CARLEEN of Dallas, Tx.; grandchildren, CARLTON MONTGOMERY SMITH and wife, LON, of Frisco, Tx., COURTNEY MICHELLE SMITH and husband, JAMES A. SMITH of Frisco, Tx.; great- grandchildren, HAYDEN BRICE SMITH and SUTTON ELYSE SMITH of Frisco, sister, SUE LEE of Dubach,La. and a host of nephews and nieces.
