Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at Calvary Baptist Church with the REV. CRAIG BEEMAN officiating. Interment was at the Thomas-Wren Cemetery in Red River Parish. MRS. THOMAS was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she taught the senior ladies' Sunday School for 41 years. She was very active in missions programs and the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late WESLEY THOMAS; her daughter, ETHEL TATE; a grandson, JOEY HOLLOWAY; and a great-grandson, TRISTEN PALMER. She was the daughter of the late COLE and ZULA MORGAN MARTIN. She is survived by four daughters, ELIZABETH A. LINER and husband, JOHN, of Leesville, DORIS N. WINN and husband JOHN, of robeline; HAZEL E. HOLLOWAY and husband, ELWYN "HOBO" of Colfax and SARAH J. THOMAS of Robeline; two sons, BILLY THOMAS and wife, PHYLLIS of Estelle Springs, Tn. and ROBERT W. THOMAS of Pineville. "GRANNY ANNIE" was also survived by 17 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
