Joshua Norrid and his wife, Susannah (Elliott), daughter of Isaac S. and Winny 
Rogers Elliott. Susanna was born 1848 in Chesterfield, S.C. and travelled in 
1854 by wagon train and flat-boat to what is now Red River Parish.
