Mrs. Charles Stuart Scott, nee Edna Elliott, a native of Coushatta, Red River, 
when young, surprised her parents, Sheriff Wm. H. and Sarah Emma (McDowell) 
Elliott by running off with a "gambling man." The Scotts had a large family 
and were married many happy years. She was born Sept. 17, 1896 and died Feb. 
14, 1977. She had a very close life-time relationship with her sister, Susie 
(Elliott) McDonald, also a Coushatta native. In her later years, Edna lived in 
Bossier City, Caddo Parish.
