The tombstone of CLAXTON T. MARTIN, who died during World War II while serving 
with the U.S. Army, is located in Social Springs Cemetery in Red River Parish. 
He was the son of EDWARD and EVA McGRAW MARTIN and the brother of BENTON LEE 
MARTIN, who is buried nearby. CLAXTON MARTIN was born May 19, 1921 and died 
July 16, 1943.
