May, 25, 1962    Shreveport Times
   PIERSON (PETE) ELLIOTT, 55, of 9592 Miables St., died in Doctor's Hospital 
at 12:30 Thursday after a sudden illness.
   MR. ELLIOTT, a service station operator, was a native of Red River Parish 
and had libed here 15 years. He was a member of Southland Baptist Church.
   Surviving are his widow; sons, HAROLD G. ELLIOTT of Bossier City and JAMES 
P. ELLIOTT of Shreveport; a brother, J. O. ELLIOTT of Shreveport; and seven 
grandchildren.
   Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Holly Springs Methodist 
Church near Coushatta. THE REV. CLYDE DANIEL, Southland pastor will officiate.
   Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of Roseneath Funeral 
Home. pallbearers will be L. E. THOMAS, DEWEY ELLIOTT, BILLY ELLIOTT, ELLIS 
LOFTIN; DICK LOFTIN and T. G. THOMAS.
