STATE OF LOUISIANA, PARISH OF RED RIVER
   Know all Men by these Presents, That we, J. T. PIERSON as principal, and F. 
J. PIERSON as security, are held and bound unto M. J. FOSTER, Governor of the 
State of Louisiana, and his successors in office, in the sum of five hundred 
dollars, lawful money, for the payment of which we hereby bind ourselves 
jointly in solido.
   The condition of this obligation is such, that whereas J. T. PIERSON has 
this day obtained a license to marry MISS KATE ARMISTEAD. Now, if, at the time 
said license was granted, there existed no legal impediment to said marriage, 
then this obligation to be null and void, otherwise to be in full force and 
virtue.
   Done and signed this 18th day of October.

   To any Person authorized to Celebrate Marriages in the Parish of Red River, 
Greeting,
   You are hereby licensed and permitted to unite in the bonds of matrimony, 
according to law and established rule, MR. J. T. PIERSON and MISS KATE 
ARMISTEAD.
   Given under my hand and seal of office as Clerk of the District Court in 
and for the Parish of Red River, the 18th day of October one thousand eighty 
hundred and ninety eight.

   Be it remembered, That in pursuance of a license issued by the clerk of the 
District Court of the Parish of Red River, Louisiana, I have performed the 
solemn rites of matrimony between MR. J. T. PIERSON and MISS KATE ARMISTEAD on 
the 19th day of October, 1898, in the presence of the undersigned subscribing 
witnesses.
