All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Richland Parish, LA Deed Book ?, Page 437 State of Louisiana Parish of Richland Be it know that on this the 29th day of January 1876 for and in consideration of the sum of ($200.00) Two Hundred Dollars to me paid as following: Forty Dollars cash in hand and Eighty Dollars ($80.00) on the first day of January 1880 and like amount on the first day of January 1881, which amounts are evidenced by the two notes of the vendor for $80.00 each, I have this day sold, conveyed and delivered and by the presents does sell, bargain, transfer, assign and set over unto Charles S. Duncan a resident of Richland Parish Louisiana with full and complete title the following associated property to wit: NW ¼ of NW ¼ Section 33 T. 15 N. Range 6 East containing 40 acres of land, more or less, and the same entered by Isaac W. Choat July 31st 1851. To have and to hold, the above described property unto the said Duncan his heirs and assigns forever, with complete warranty and guarantee of Title. It is agreed and well understood between the parties that the notes given for the purchase price are not to be considered mortgage notes, and that the vendor Mrs. C. H. Choat does not retain any lien or privilege on the property sold but takes the individual notes of said Duncan and only looks to him and his assigns individually for the liquidation of the same. They being forever payable to the order of Kattie E. Choat. The notes dated Jany. 28th 1876. Done and signed in presence of T. J. Knight and I. W.
