The program was performed under the beautiful trees of the school grounds with a back curtain of Spanish moss and pink roses. Grandmother Stokes the oldest Mother in the community sat on a throne and the following program was performed for her and all the mothers. H. L. Walton and Mrs. Carey Ellis presented the plans for the Folk School to be held in (unreadable line) heartily endorsed them and raised their financial quota. They are the first school in the parish to raise their Folk School quota. Between 400 and 500 people were present at this meeting.
