Clack Drowning Article from Richland Beacon News in September 1892 Mr. A.J. Clack was drowned in Boeuf River, about fifteen miles above Rayville, on Friday evening, last week. It seems that Messrs. Clack and McCowen had been to Oak Ridge, and returning,Mr. Clack concluded to swim the river on his horse when he got opposite to wherehe lived, instead of going down two miles to a ford. In some way he was thrown off his horse and drowned in six feet of water, nearthe east side of the river. He leaves a wife and several children, who have our condolence in their trouble.
