Richland Beacon-Rayville, La. January 31, 1891
  Mrs. Lizzie Chennault (nee Moon) wife of John Chenault, died on Wednesday 
January 28th, 1891 from the effects of la grippe and pneumonia, in five miles 
north of Rayville.

  Mrs. James McCowen mother of Mrs. Shanks, whose death we announced last 
week, died on Wednesday January 28, 1891 of la grippe and pneumonia.  She was 
taken sick immediately on her return from the burial of her daughter.

  Rev. N.W. Warren, late Representive of Bienville Parish, died at Mt. Lebanon 
on Monday, January 26th.  He was well known through out the state as favoring 
the submission of the lottery amendment to a vote of the people and for which 
action he was excluded from the Church.
