October 18, 1934 Mr. and Mrs. C.B. McQuiller and daughter, Carolyn of Monroe spent the week- end in the home of Mrs. McQuiller's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.C.LeFevre. Mrs. LeFevre returned with them to Monroe for a few days' visit. Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Ezell accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Brock and Miss Maud Ezell motored to Grayson last week-end visiting relatives and friends. Miss Marie Cantwell of La. Tech, Ruston spent the week-end in the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Cantwell. Much interest is being shown in the Baptist Sunday School, last Sunday's report showed that out of 118 enrolled, 99 were present. The two classes, young boys and the young married women, made one hunded per cent. Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Gilmore and little daughter, Sibyl Ann, spent the week-end with relatives in Ruston. Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Crow and two little daughters, Billie nd Patricia of Star City, Ark., spent Sunday and Monday in the home of Mrs. Crow's parents, Dr. and Mrs. R.L. Bailey. Mrs. Bailey returned home with them for a few days visit. Funeral rites for Mr. W.T. Welch 63, of Lake Villiage Ark. were were held Sunday afternoon at the Midway cemetery with Rev. C.A. Newton officiating. Mr. Welch is survived by his widow, three sons and three daughters, Mrs. Stafford, Miss Hazel Welch and Mr. August Welch and Mr. Steen Welch of Lake Village, Mrs. George calvit of Minden, and Mr. Newton Welch of Epps. His son, Mr. Gene Welch preceded him to the grave three weeks ago. Miss Helen Hillman a student of La. Tech, Ruston, spent the weekend with home folks. Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Conway and little daughter, Claire, motored to Little rock Saturday to visit with Mrs. Conway's father , Mr. T.Y. Wall, who recently underwent an operation at the Missouri Pacific hospital. Mrs. Lule Hillman, Mrs. J.F. Poole, Mrs. Wary Hillman, Mrs. M.A. Hillman, Mrs. J.B. Shelton, Mrs. J.W. Coats, Mr. and Mrs. William Wilson and Mr. Clifton Smith attended the Bayou Macon Baptist association in Rayville Tuesday. Mrs. J.B. LeFevre has returned home after a few weeks' visit with relatives in Mangham. Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Blanchard had as Sunday guests, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Blanchard and children of Delhi, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbon Windham and little son of Camden, Ark. Funeral services for G.W. Holland age 57, were held Sunday afternoon at Midway, with Rev. C.A. Newton officiating. He is survived by his widow and 7 children.
