Boies' sons were running their horses along the road when one horse fell down; it is supposed as the other was ahead and did not see see how it occurred. As he looked back he discovered Johnnie on the ground and the horse rising. He went back to the brother who was able to speak, calling for medicine and water. The brother went on to J.L. Boies, some four hundred yards farther on to procure assistance. He returned to where Johnnie was left with assistance and some camphor. Dr. Sartor was at J.L. Boies', he informed them that the boy was badly hurt, and before they could reach the house with him he was dead. He was the second child of our friend E.A. Boies. a stout boy, but alas is cut off. The afflicted parents have our sympathy. -Beacon
