Tiche, and consumed nearly the main business block of the town North of the Vicksburg, Shreveport and Pacific railroad. The loss of $45,000 was distributed among these firms and persons: L. M. Scott, $6,000; Mrs. O. Pethit, $2,000; Mrs. Pitts, $2,000; Charles Tick, $12,000; S. Kohn, $7,000; Mrs. M. Jones, $1,000; W. H. Jones, $3,000; Mrs. W. Valida, $500; J. W. Simms, $5,000; National Construction Company, $30,000; Vicksburg, Shreveport and Pacific Railroad, $7,000.
