Alfred B. Odom

Services for Alfred B. Odom, 78, of Rayville, LA, will be held at 
10:00 AM, Saturday, August 13, 2005, at the Brown-Holley Funeral 
Chapel in Rayville, LA. Reverends Jeff Smart and Joe Arnold will be 
officiating. Interment will follow in the Start Cemetery in Start, LA, 
under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home in Rayville, LA. 

Alfred B. Odom was born on June 8, 1927 in Baskin, LA and passed away 
on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 in Rayville, LA. 

Mr. Odom was a member of the Baptist Faith. He loved to garden and fish. 
He served as a navy veteran with WWII. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Zelma Odom; brothers 
Bill Odom and Cecil Odom; sister Elouise Odom Stone. 

Survivors include his wife of fifty-nine years, Patricia Taunton Odom of 
Rayville; five sons: Dannie Odom and wife, Lora of Start, Randy Odom and 
wife, Loretta of Start, Dennis Odom and wife, Lori of Shippensburg, PA, 
Tim Odom and wife, Susanne of Holly Ridge, Paul Odom and wife, Jennifer of 
Rayville; sixteen grandchildren: Tracey Barnett and husband, Travis, Paula 
Keith and husband, Ryan, Damien Odom and wife, Misty, Craig Odom and wife, 
Jocelyn, Brandy Matherly and husband Billy, Tara Odom, Kyle Odom, Alan 
Stephenson, Cole Odom, John Coates, Sidney Odom, Paige Odom, Jana Odom, 
Justin Hernandez, Christian Coates, Jordan Williams; seven great grandchildren: 
Dylan Odom, Deven Matherly, Cayden Craig Odom, Kayden Dean Odom, Elijah Barnett, 
Waylon Keith, Chase Odom. 

Pallbearers will be Craig Odom, Damien Odom, Cole Odom, Kyle Odom, Steve Greer 
and Mitchell Greer.
