Officiating will be Rev. Carroll Johnson and Dr. Warren Blakeman. Interment will follow in Start Cemetery under the direction of Brown Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Friday, September 22, at Brown Holley Funeral Home in Rayville, LA. Mrs. Walker was born on September 7, 1914 in Franklinton, LA and passed away Thursday, September 21, 2006 in Shreveport, LA. She grew up in Stephenson, MS and spent most of her adult life in Rayville, LA. Many people throughout Richland Parish knew her as the "Bookmobile Lady". A career she enjoyed for 26 years. In her retirement years, she loved decorating her yard seasonally for others to enjoy and visiting and taking care of shut ins and friends. She was a faithful member of Crew Lake United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Fannie Maxwell; her husband, John H. Walker; and her brother G.K. Maxwell. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, J. Cloyd and Linda Kay Walker; granddaughters and their husbands, Kayla and Brian Barker; Tracey and Bart Little; and great grandchildren, Ben and Adam Barker, Grant, Kirk, Kaylin, and Garrett Little. Pallbearers will be Charles Allen, Dixon Boyd, Joe Brown, Charles Germany, Lanny Greaves, Tom Heath, Jackie Henry, and Billy Whitten. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Cole, Walter Garner, John Hayes, James Horace Henry, Pat Patterson, Charlie Ryan, and Hinton Watts.
