Ervin G. Brown

  ARCHIBALD - Funeral services for Ervin Gene Brown, 61, of Archibaldwere held 
at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 1996, in the Archibald First Baptist Church 
with the Rev. Steve Sallis and Wilfred Burgess officiating.

  Burial followed in the Gwin Cemetery near Archibald under the direction of 
Brown-Holley Funeral Home of Rayville.

  Mr. Brown was a truckdriver and a resident of Archibald.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sybil Burgess Brown; one son, Edward Brown; 
a daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Darren Johns; four brothers, Randle 
Brown, Cecil Brown, Jack Brown and Noble Brown; five sisters, Mrs. Myrtis 
Flint, Mrs. Pearlie Weems, Mrs. Myrtle Haire, Mrs. Edna Southall and Mrs. 
Jewel Dear; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Hazel Burgess; and one grandson, Hunter 
Johns.

Pallbearers were Claude Lord, Stephen Dean, Patrick Hollis, William Burgess, 
Buddy Bradshaw, Justin Hales, Thomas "Bud" Haire and Terry Haire.

Additional Comments:
**Note:  Ervin Gene Brown, the son of Monroe Edward Brown and Annie Adella 
(Nobles) Brown, was born December 25, 1934 in Richland Parish.
