Obituary of Ben Field Hardy Sr.
As published in the Monroe Morning World -July 1967

Funeral services Ben Field Hardy Sr. 80, of Rayville,
will be held at 2:30 P.M. Thursday in Mann Church of God
with the Revs Jessie Ward and Leslie McDowell officiating.
Mr. Hardy died in Morehouse General Hospital around 9:30 P.M.
Monday after a short illness. He was a life-long resident 
of Richland Parish and a retired farmer.
Survivors include his widow Mrs. Evie Hardy of Rayville; one
son Ben F. Hardy Jr., Pittsburgh, Pa.;one daughter, Mrs.
Cecil Battenfield, Transylvania, La.;one sister, Mrs. Fannie
Chambers of West Monroe, La.;11 grandchildren and 15 great 
grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Conway Battenfield, LaRoy Battenfield,
Ronnie Battenfield, Donnie Battenfield, James Smith,
Pat Golliher, Jeff Golliher and Johnny Freeland

ADDED Note: Deceased Children of Ben F. Hardy Sr. Are:
James Marion Hardy and Fannie Lee Hardy Gallman.
Parents of Ben F. Hardy Sr. Were M.H. Hardy and Elizabeth
Bird Justice Hardy.
Grandchildren of Ben F. Hardy Sr. Are: LaRoy Battenfield,
Conway Battenfield, Ronnie Battenfield, Donnie Battenfield.
Bennie Sue Battenfield,James Larry Hardy, Sonia Hardy,
Sherry Hardy, Josephine Gallman, Alfred Gallman and Carole
Hardy.
