Nobles START - Services for Billy James Noble, 59, of Start, were held a 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 1990, at the Start Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie Woodard, Rev. Mickey Hawkins and the Rev. Shelton Morgan officiating. Burial was in the Start Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville. Mr. Nobles died Thursday, May 10, 1990, in the St. Francis Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a member of the Start Baptist Church and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers No. 446. He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Willie and Willie Mae Nobles and a niece Lana Juandine Parker. Mr. Nobles is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Jones Nobles of Start, Daugher and son-in-law, Tina and Eric Silk of Start; his mother, Mrs. Grace Hire of Start; two brothers, Willie Ray Nobles and Russell Huey Nobles, both of Start; a sister, Mrs. Nobie Parker Blackmon of Start; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Wade Temple, Mike Silk, Paul Sapp, Gene Williams, Terry Parker and Howard Conley. Honorary pallbearers were Jack Brunson, Otto Parker and S. J. Crawford.
