David Shirley officiating. Burial followed at Gwin Cemetery in Mangham under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Rayville. Mr. Rowland passed away Friday, October 19, 2001, at his residence. He was a member of the Alto Baptist Church and previously was a member of The Telephone Pioneer Clown Unit. He was preceded in death by mother, Eva Ruth Williams and step father D.F. Williams. Survivors include his wife, June Ross Rowland of Mangham; his two sons, Ronald Ross Rowland of Baton Rouge, LA. and Mika Jacoby Rowland of Alto, LA; two daughters, Jada Rowland Brown and her husband Emmett Brown III of Rayville, LA., and Rhonda Baker of Terrell, Texas; four grandchildren, Lanya and Lance Brown, Matthew Taylor and Kasey Cade; and his two sisters, Eunice Duke and Vera Perry both of Eldorado, AR. Serving as pallbearers were Terry David Ross, Rowland Perry, Glen Tiser, Shelton Sharbono, Jerry Thomason and Steve Ross. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Heart Association or The St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
