 Cecil E. Smith

Funeral services for Cecil E. Smith, 84, of Rayville, LA were held 2:00 PM, 
Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel with Rev. Howard 
Hudson officiating. Interment followed in Rayville Masonic Cemetery, Rayville, 
LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville. 

Cecil Smith was born on October 20, 1922 and passed away on 
Monday, March 26, 2007. 

Cecil was a member of Holly Ridge Baptist Church. He was an Army Veteran of 
WW II. He enjoyed Hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, 
Ellis and Emma Smith and siblings, Eda, Pink, Houston, Troy, Bertie, and J.W. 

Survivors include his Wife, Helen Smith of Rayville, LA.; Children, Carolyn 
Warner and husband, Don of Mangham, LA. and Jim Smith of Rayville, LA.; Sisters, 
Eunice Jones of Baskin, LA and Florence Burroughs of Monroe, LA; Four 
Grandchildren, Sandy Burgess of Mangham, LA., John David Smith of Shreveport, 
LA., Sherry Jones of Mangham, LA., and Kelly Smith of Rayville, LA.; Five Great 
Grandchildren and Three Great-Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Pallbearers were Joe Comeaux, Ken McKay, Ralph Cheek, Deon Jones, Kelly Evans, 
and Sonny Copes.
