All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** * Claude Ray Claude Ray was born on October 3, 1924 near Rayville, LA, and passed away on Friday, November 5, 2004 after a brief illness. He moved to "The Ridge" at the age of five where he spent the rest of his life. After serving his country in the U.S. Navy during War World II, he went to work for Trunkline Gas Company. After working thiry-four years, he retired to garden, hunt and fish full time. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Ella Ray; three brothers and two sisters. Claude is survived by two nieces, Juanice Loftin of Trinity, TX, and Patsy Aldridge of Poplar Bluff, MO; and several great nieces and great nephews. The family invites friends for visitation from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday at Brown Holley Funeral Home in Rayville, LA. Funeral services will be held at the Bethel Baptist Church at Holly Ridge, LA, at 3:30 PM Sunday, November 7, 2004 with the Rev. David Harrington officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Brown Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA. Pallbearers will be Phil Albritton, Rodney Albritton, John Thompson, Tommy Thompson, Robert Chapple, and Buddy McCartney. Honorary pallbearers will be all his Deer Hunting Friends.   ŠThe News-Star
