Interment to follow in Greer Cemetery near Rayville, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Rayville, LA Mr. Traxler was a member of Rayville First Baptist Church, born November 14, 1938 in Provencal, LA and passed away August 19, 2006 in Winnsboro, LA. He joined the Air Force at age 18 and retired as Master Sargent after 20 years of service. in 1978 he, along with his father and brother founded Traxler Construction company. He retired from the construction business in 2000 and became a cattle farmer which was his enjoyment. He was greatly loved by all his family, especially his grandchildren who will miss their "Poppy". He was preceded in death by his Mother Reba Haley Traxler and a brother Eton Traxler. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Edith Branch Traxler of Rayville, LA; daughters, Allison Traxler Romero and her husband, Greg of Rayville, LA, Dawn Traxler Barton and her husband, Melvin of Mangham, LA; grandchildren, Ramsay Magee, Morgan Templeton, Jordan Barton, Erik Romero, Drew Barton and Nicholas Romero; father Howard Curtis Traxler of Winnsboro, LA; two sisters Sonja Traxler of West Monroe, LA, Lawanna Wolleson and her husband, Warren also of West Monroe, LA; two brothers; Steve R. Traxler and his wife Lillian of Monroe, LA and Monty R. Traxler and his wife Kayla of Bradley AR, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Adam Wolleson, Steve Traxler, Jr., Stewart Traxler, Timothy Branch, Aaron Branch and Robert Lynn. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Monday at the funeral home. And 1:00PM until service time Tuesday at the church.
