All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Dena Faye Newsom King Funeral services for Mrs. Dena Faye Newsom King, age 75, of Rayville will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 9, 2007 at the First Baptist Church, Rayville, LA with Dr. Ernest Winburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Rayville. Dena Faye, a beautician, was born June 17, 1931 in Franklin Parish to the union of William Gussie Newsom and Jo Ina Gilmore Newsom and passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 following a brief illness. Dena Faye was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Marie Hooks Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the American Beautician Association and enjoyed working in her flower garden. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Jack King and her daughter, Carolyn Denise "Nitsey" King Berry. Survivors include her son, Mike King and wife, Diann of Rayville, LA.; her two grandsons, Todd King and wife, Patsy of Rayville, LA. and Shane Berry of Rayville, LA.; granddaughter, Ashley Berry of Rayville, LA.; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Lilwin Norman of Rayville, LA and Frankie Wilkinson and husband, Hugh of Vicksburg, MS.; two brothers, Bill Newsom and wife, Annette of Rayville, LA and Kenneth "Shug" Newsom and wife, Camille of Rayville, LA.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her nephews, Keith King, Mark King, Scotty King, Ken Newsom, Rob Newsom, Stacy Newsom, Keith Rockett and Larry Wilkinson. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 8, 2007, at Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Prayer Garden, Breast Cancer Research, or a charity of your choice.
