Sayre, 73, of Rayville died Tuesday at the St. Francis hospital in Monroe following a short illness. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. David's Episcopal Church in Rayville under direction of Mulhearn's Funeral Home of Rayville. Rev. William E. Baldridge will officiate with burial in the Rayville Masonic Cemetery. Dr. Sayre was a native of Mangham, a veteran of World War I, a mason in Rayville, a member of the Ouachita Medical Association, the Louisiana Medical Society and the American Medical Association. He had been in the medical profession for 47 years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Dorothy C. Sayre of Rayville; one son, T. M. Sayre, Jr. of Rayville; one daughter Mrs. D. W. Sartor of Monroe; one sister, Mrs. F. C. Rowan of Baton Rouge and five grandchildren. Pallbearers will be L. Yancey, Noland Pipes, Dr. George Hubbard, George Purvis, Jimmy Thompson, Oliver Boughton, W. D. Cotton and Bobby Calvert
