Nobles, 73, of near Mangham, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Maurice Valentine at 5 p.m. Monday. Mrs. Nobles is survived by six sons: George Nobles of Winnsboro; Willie Nobles of Start, Alonzo, Walter and Robert Nobles of Mangham; and Samuel Nobles of Sterlington, La.; three daughters: Mrs. Emma Miller of Winnsboro; Mrs. Della Brown of Baskin; and Mrs. Maurice Valentine of Mangham; one sister: Mrs. Della Thomas of West Monroe and over one hundred grandchildren. She was a member of the Lone Cherry Church. Funeral services for Mrs. Nobles were held at the Lone Cherry Baptist Church, near Mangham, at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, with Rev. J. D. Kitchenham officiating. Burial, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, of Rayville, followed in the Buie Cemetery. Submitter's notes: Elizabeth Dorcas Crawford Nobles, the daughter of Peter Tobias Crawford and Gracy Myers Crawford, was born January 1, 1871, in Scott County, MS. She married James Runnells "Jim" Nobles December 30, 1890, in Madison County, MS. She died May 30, 1949. Jim Nobles, the son of James Monroe Nobles and Susan Webb Nobles was born September 6, 1854, in Pike County, AL and died February 2, 1913, in Mangham, Richland Parish, LA. He is also buried in Buie Cemetery.
