Mr. McDonald has been a most useful citizen since early manhood, willing to serve the parish in any capacity where he could help to build it and he has always bee a promoter of the best interest of the people and parish he loved so well. As the proprietor of large farming interests he has always worked for the up-building and continued prosperity of this section and as police juror he ever had the people's interest at heart and gave the best that was in him as a sacrifice to this service. He was a Mason and a Knight of Nubias, and has been for a number of years, since early manhood, a strict member of the Baptist Church. R.F McGuire Lodge No. 209, F. and A.M. of which he was a member, officiated at the funeral. The remains were interred in Little Creek Cemetery followed there to the last resting place by one of the largest concourse of friends that ever attended a like and occasion in this section. It was a beautiful tribute to the man and life imminent worth. The deceased leaves a family consisting of wife, daughter and two sons to mourn his great loss, and to these we tender our sincere sympathy and condolence in this sand and dark hour.
