DeFreese Funeral services for Esther Mosley DeFreese,76,of Start, LA, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 19,2001,at the Start Baptist Church with the Revs. Kenneth Mosley and Jeff Smart officiating. Burial followed in the Mulhearn Memorial Park in Monroe, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Homes of Rayville. Mrs. DeFreese died June 17, 2001 at the North Monroe Hospital in Monroe. She was a member of the Start Baptist Church and its Faith Sunday School Class. Survivors include her husband, Willis Marvin "Bill" DeFreese; her daughters, Edith Parish, Sharon Parker and her husband, Tommy and Shirley Kennedy and her husband, Greg; her grandchildren,Shawn adn Scott Parish, Tommy ParkerIII, Angela Parker Petrus, April Parker Morgan, Stacey Kennedy Finley, Matt Kennedy, Jamie Kennedy and Jarrod Kennedy; her great grandchildren, Cody Parker Brueggeman, Kyle Brueggeman, Massey Finley, Miranda Finley, Wil Morgan, Madison and Morgan Parker, Landry Morgan, Patrick Parish and Parker Morgan; a brother, Brad Mosley; a sister, Mary Dean; her step sisters, Ollie Adcock, Doris Dartlone, and Edna Hebert; and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers were her grandsons, Shawn Parish, Scott Parish, Tommy Parker III, Matt Kennedy, Jamie Kennedy and Jarrod Kennedy, Honorary pallbearers were Brent Finley, Wiley Morgan and Jason Petrus. In lieu of floweres, memorials may be made to the Start Baptist Church Building Fund.
