Rev. Clyde Piercy will officiate. Interment will be in the Faith Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home. Mr. Flint was born on April 1, 1916 at home in Attala County, MS. Mr. Flint was the youngest of thirteen children and he moved to LA as a teenager and married Myrtis Brown on April 10, 1937. He was a farmer all his life and had a great sense of humor. He introduced himself to everyone as the Mayor of Dunn and as "Boss Hogg." For many years he grew sugar cane and cooked out syrup to sell and give away. He was always generous in sharing and giving away garden produce. He is preceded in death by a son, SPC. E-4 Troy Lee "Bill" Flint US Army; a great grandson, William James Lawrence Stakelum and his parents, James Horatio Flint and Martha Lee Leonard Flint. He is survived by his wife, Myrtis Brown Flint; a daughter, Irma Lee Flint Perryman and her husband Floyd Mac; two sons, James Roy Flint and his wife, Kim, and Jackie Lynn Flint and his wife, Gloria. He is also survived by eight grandchilren and two great grandchildren: Rachel Perryman Stakelum, Roy Mac Perryman, Christy Lynn Flint, Jacqueline Marie Flint, Sgt. James Corbett Flint USMC, Sgt. James Edward Flint US Army, Cody Ray Flint, Tiffany Haynes Flint, Drew Skylar Faves and Hannah Marie Faves; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Roy Perryman, Pat Hollis, Matthew Hollis, Steve Dean, Jonathan Dean and Cody Ray Flint. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Lee Flint, James Earl Flint and James Edward Flint.
