William E. Nolan and Rev. Bonita Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi. Mrs. Thompson died Tuesday, August 24,1999 at the Northeast Community Care Center in Rayville. A native of Oak Ridge, and the youngest of eleven children born to Jesse J. Nolan and Molly Stokes Nolan. Mrs. Thompson was a resident of Delhi for over 63 years. She was was a member of the Delhi United Methodist Church and the Morehouse Parish Chapter of D.A.R.. She was retired from the Richland Parish School System and was above all else a loving mother, friend, and confidant to her children. She was known to all her family and friends as "Mammaw". Frances Thompson was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde C. Thompson, Jr. She is survived by five sons and one daughter: Clyde N. Thompson and wife, Cheryl, of Delhi; Robert Dhu Thompson of Monroe, Rep. Francis C. Thompson and wife, Marilyn, of Delhi; Michael L. Thompson and wife, Deborah, of Delhi; Dr. W.David Thompson and wife, Ashleyof Rayville and Priscilla T. Linder and husband, Milton, of Delhi; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Also surviving her are two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Hernandez of Leesville, La. and Mrs. Edna Hill of Monroe, La. along with numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Bob Thompson, Todd Thompson,Brant Thompson, Jason Thompson, Dhu Thompson, Addison Thompson, Cole McEacharn and Ryan Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Lester Johnson, Dr. Roland Ponarski Joey Chaney and the hospital staff of Richardson Medical Center of Rayville, La.
