Reverend Kyle Coates and Reverend Fred Keys will be officiating. Burial will be held in the Masonic Cemetery, Rayville, LA. Mrs. Cumpton was born December 4, 1917, near Crowville, LA, and passed away, Saturday, March 20, 2004 at Richardson Medical Center in Rayville, LA. Mrs. Cumpton was a resident of Rayville, LA and a Charter Member of the Eastside Baptist Church. She retired after 20 years as Dietitian at Colonial Manor Guest House, to enjoy her grandchildren and family. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was devoted to her church and serving the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Cumpton; parents, James and Mary Robinson Cupit; son-in-law, Billy Ray Parks; two sisters and three brothers. Survivors include: daughter, Mary Ann Parks of Rayville, LA; son Bobby Lawrence Cumpton and wife Sue of Mobile, AL; son Donald Roy Cumpton and wife Paula of Rayville, LA; grandson, Mike Cumpton and wife Susan of Mobile, AL; granddaughter Rae Ann Parker and husband John of New Orleans, LA; grandson, Mark Cumpton and wife Gina of Mobile, AL; grandson Matt Parks and wife Dana of Baton Rouge, LA; granddaughter Ashley Thom and husband Jamie of Baton Rouge, LA; grandson Mitch Cumpton and wife Emily of Mobile, AL; grandson Buie Cumpton and wife Lindsey of Rayville, LA; granddaughter Crary Cumpton of Baton Rouge, LA; 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Buie Cumpton, Mark Cumpton, Mike Cumpton, Mitch Cumpton, Jerry Hollis, Matt Parks, John Parker and Jamie Thom. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastside Baptist Church in Rayville, LA.
