Services for Mr. George W. Bolton, III, age 54, of Rayville will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 18, 2004 at the First Baptist Church, Rayville with Dr. Ernest Winburn officiating. Interment will follow in Rayville Masonic Cemetery under direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home-Rayville.Mr. Bolton was born on November 22, 1949 and passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2004 after a lengthy illness. George was owner of Delta Sales Company in Rayville. He was also on the Board of Directors at Delta Finance Company and the Franklin Loan Company. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He loved sports! For may years he coached Little League Baseball. It was his nature to work with each youngster to encourage them, motivate them and help them reach their highest potential. He was known for many years as a "runner". He was a fitness buff and was active in the Ouachita Valley Road Runners Association for many years. He had a passion for youth! He taught 5th and 6th grade Sunday School for many years. He loved his church and church family. He served as a deacon at the Rayville First Baptist Churh for many years. George was a godly and loving father, husband, son and brother. He found no greater joy than being involved with his sons and their sports or the joy of his life, his daughter. In later years his passion, still revolving around his love of the Lord and his kids, turned toward Praise and Worship. He delighted in listening to his sons and nephews in The Plumb Line Praise Band. He was so very proud of them and eagerly followed them everywhere. Mr. Bolton was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jamie and Susie Boies, George and Kate Bolton, Sr.; father-in-law, John C. "Penny" Bryan; uncle, Raymond Bolton and aunts, Lois B. Cox and Marie B. Hooks. Survivors include: his wife of twenty-nine years, Mary Lynn Bryan Bolton; sons, Bryan Bolton and Caleb Bolton; daughter, Sarah Ann Bolton; parents, George Bolton, Jr. and Sarah "Tut" Bolton; brothers, Jimmy Bolton and wife, Julie Bolton of Phoenix, AZ and Jeff Bolton and wife, Debi Bolton of Baton Rouge, LA; sister, Susan Bolton Hoychick and husband, John Hoychick; mother-in-law, Ann Bryan; brother-in-law, Benny Bryan and special friend and caregiver, Crinda Chatmon. Pallbearers will be: Ray Cox, Dan Hooks, Johnny B. Hoychick, Danny Hoychick, Tim Hoychick, Jamie Bolton, John Alan Bolton, and George Thomas Speight. Visitation will be 9:00 AM until service time at the Rayville First Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Rayville First Baptist Church Youth House P.O.
