START, LA - Services for Gracie Crawford Hire, 80, of Start will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 24, 1994 at Brown-Holley Funeral Home Chapel in Rayville with Rev. Lee Thomas and Rev. Shelton Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Start Cemetery in Start. Mrs. Hire died Saturday, January 22, 1994 at Richardson Medical Center Following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Hire was a member of Saint Micheals Catholic Church in Biloxi, MS. She was preceded in death by her son, Billie James Nobles and her granddaughter Lana Laverne Parker. Survivors include her daughter: Nobie Parker Blackmon of Start; two sons: Willie Ray Nobles, Sr. and Russell Huey Nobles both of Start; sister: Ela Mae Cornelius of Gautier, MS; six grandchildren: James L. Parker of San Francisco, CA, Trudy Parker Edwards of Biloxi, MS, Tina Nobles Silk of Rayville, Betty Ann Crawford of Oak Ridge, Willie Ray Nobles, Jr. and Michael Nobles both of Start; several great-grand- children, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Steve Crawford, Samuel Crawford, Howard Cox, Jakie Lee Henry, Mike Nobles and Chris Tarver. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
