Ellington, 78, of Mangham, LA were held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 18, 2007 at Archibald Church of Christ with Bro. Larry White and Bro. Saul Blair officiating. Interment followed in the Gwin Cemetery in Mangham, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA. George R. Ellington was born on August 19, 1928 in El Dorado, AR and passed away on Monday, January 15, 2007 in Rayville, LA after a lengthy illness. Mr. Ellington was a member of the Archibald Church of Christ and a United States Navy Veteran. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Betty Ellington of Mangham, LA; children, Perry Ellington and wife, Debra of Mangham, Roger Ellington and wife, Zona of Baskin, LA and Candice Walsh of Mangham; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; his twin sister, Melva Johnson of Hesperia, CA and sister, Juanita Andrews of Hesperia, CA; brother, Robert Ellington of Yorba Linda, CA and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Charlie Johnson, Barrett Gwin, Quincy Allen, W.O. Shiers, Waymond Hales, Jr. and Jason Wright. Honorary pallbearers were Billy McGlothlin, Son Carter, Wayne Phillips, T.J. Phillips and L.C. Shiers. Visitation was 5 PM until 9 PM, Wednesday at Archibald Church of Christ
