Yount, age 81 years, died at his home several miles east of Rayville on Wednesday of last week and was buried on Thursday. The deceased is survived by one son and two daughters, the later being Mrs. P.M. Greer and Mrs. Ed Hunter. Mr. Yount has made his home on the Mengel property east of Rayville for a number of years, successfully engaged in farming. He bore the reputation of being a straight-forward and thrifty man and a good and dependable citizen. He lived a long and useful life, full of comfort and pleasure to his devoted family; and while they regret deeply his taking away, the consolation is theirs that he was spared to them through many years. The members of the sorrowing family and intimate friends of the venerable old gentleman have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends in this dark hour of their grief.
