THOMAS CERCY HAIRE
1918

Thomas Cercy Haire, born July 27th, 1855, was married 
to Miss Mollie Mock, February 25th, 1877.  To this 
union four children were born.  She departed this life 
June 10th, 1889.
He was then married to Miss Mattie Ellington, 
September 25th, 1890.  Eight children were born to 
this union, 7 survive.  At the age of 45 he united 
with the Mangham Baptist Church, and remained a member 
till death, which was on the 7th of September, 1918, 
making his stay on earth 63 years, 1 month and 14 days.
Besides 11 children he is survived by a wife, one 
sister, Mrs. D. Hammis, and other relatives and 
friends, to mourn his departure.  Funeral services 
were conducted by Rev. H. E. Petteus, at Lone Cherry, 
Sunday afternoon, September 8th, in the presence of a 
large concourse of people.
