Ken Bowman and Rev. Jeff Smart officiating. Interment will follow at Start Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home in Rayville, LA. Mrs. Eppinette was born on September 19, 1925 and passed away on Monday morning, September 6, 2004 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnett, Baton Rouge, LA. She was a retired bank vice president and a lifelong resident of Richland Parish and a member of the Start Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Allen Eppinette; son, Sidney Eppinette, Sr.; parents, Charles Cumpton and Emma Duchesne Cumpton Matheny; brothers: Archie Cumpton and Ferrand Cumpton. She is survived by her son, Max Eppinette and wife, Shelia of Start, LA; her daughter, Ginger Bowman and husband, Ken of Clinton, LA; five grandsons: Sidney and Kevin Eppinette of Start, LA, Scott Bowman of Clinton, LA, Mark Bowman of Mandeville, LA and Dustin Eppinette of Start, LA; a granddaughter, Kayla Eppinette of Start, LA; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Lena Earnest and husband, F.W. of Shreveport, LA; a brother, Henry Cumpton and wife, Georgia Ineichen of Rayville, LA; two sisters-in-law: Lelia Whitten of Rayville, LA and Mittie Cumpton of Corsicana, TX. Pallbearers will be her grandsons along with David Davis. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
