All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** * Helene Earle Lowery Funeral services for Helene Earle Lowery,83, of Clear Lake, LA., were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday September 11, 2001, at the Rayville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ray Spiller officiating. Burial followed in the Rayville Masonic Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Homes of Rayville. Mrs. Lowery went peacefully to her eternal rest on Saturday, September 8, 2001 at her lifelong home on Clear Lake. She was involved and always interested in the family farm, her children and her grandchildren’s activities. Lovingly known as “Nana” she remained spirited and young at heart. She was a member of the Rayville United Methodist Church since 1928 and a member of the Beouf River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Lowery was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver P. Lowery Sr.; a son, Oliver P.”Bud” Lowery; her parents, Carl and Bertha Earle; and by a sister, Catherine Earle Richardson. Survivors include her daughter, Helene Lowery Reece and her husband, Ron; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Albright Lowery; her grandchildren-Clay Patrick Lowery, Katherine Elsie Lowery, John Oliver Lowery, Jacqueline Reece Skoba and Pamela Reece Spitzer; her great grandchildren- Ashley, Tracy and Austin Skoba, and Jonathan Spitzer; her nieces, Patricia Richardson Brice, and Carolyn Richardson Whitman; and a nephew, Dan Dennette. Serving as pallbearers were Clay Lowery, John Lowery, Hollis Venable, Carl Venable, Trey Whitman and Dan Dennette. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that any planned memorials be made to the Rayville United Methodist Church.
