Duffey, 77, of Rayville, LA were held 2:00 PM, Friday, October 20, 2006 at Brown-Holley Funeral Home in Rayville, LA with Reverend Billy R. Carter officiating. Interment followed in New Salem Cemetery in Girard, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home of Rayville, LA Howard M. Duffey was born on September 15, 1929 in Start, LA and passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 in West Monroe, LA. Mr. Duffey was a member of the Rayville Masonic Lodge #209. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict where he received the Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Estelle Duffey and sister, Sybble Willis. Survivors include his wife, Toshiko Watamoto Duffey of Start, LA; brothers, Huland Duffey and wife, Annie of Start, LA and William Moore Duffey and wife, Brenda of Start, LA and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Alvin May, Scotty May, Brian Leon, Richard Craig, Debs Laird and John Elkins. Honorary pallbearer was Huey Johnson
