Smith, 71, of Rayville, were held July 19 at first Baptist Church of Rayville with Dr. Ernest Winburn officiating. Burial followed at Rayville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home. Mr. Smith, a Rayville native, was born on January 22, 1931, and died on July 16, 2002. He graduated from Rayville High School and served in the Korean War. He worked for Sun Oil Company from 1952 until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of the Rayville First Baptist Church and Saints Alive. The son of Robert N. “Bob” and Willana Smith, he is survived By his wife of 46 years, Ollie Jagers Smith of Rayville; His sons, Robert N. Smith II and wife Arlene of Tomahawk, Wisconsin, and Bruce Wayne Smith of Rayville. Other survivors are his granddaughters Heather and Alexis Smith of Toomahawk; and nephews, Ricky Ellington of Monroe and Mike Adcock of Rayville. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Annie Ruth Adcock; and a brother-in-law, W.T. Adcock. Pallbearers were Emmett L. Brown, Carlton Clark. Davie Day, B.J. McKnight, Larry Morris, Orie Gene Morris, Billy Newson and Kenneth Newson. Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Bond, Henry Cumpton, Gordon Davis. Johnny Max Livingston, Wallace Livingston, Max Peters, J.D. Ramsey, Bobby Smith and Fuller Thompson. Memorials may be made to the Rayville Baptist Church “Finish The Dream” project, P.O.
