All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** * Julia Ann June Gattis Funeral services for Julia Ann June Gattis, 74, of Delhi, LA., were held at 2p.m. on August 22, 2001, at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Delhi with the Rev. William Baldridge officiating. Burial followed in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery, under the direction of Cox Funeral Homes of Delhi. Mrs. Gattis died August 19, 2001 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. She was born March 18, 1927 in Delhi, to Ernest Arender and Adurey Adair Owen Arender, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Cherry Pittman and Tanya Allen. Mrs. Gattis was retired from the State of Louisiana as a support enforcement officer. She was a member of the St. David’s Episcopal Church in Rayville and served as secretary of the Northeast Louisiana Livestock Show for over 27 years. She was also a founding member and former board member of the Delhi Riding Club. Survivors include her husband, William T. Gattis of Delhi, LA.; her son, E. Michael Wilson of Baton Rouge, LA.; her daughter Kiazziah Allen of Delhi, LA.; her granddaughter, Anne Michelle Vilwock of Kingwood , Texas; her great grandchild, Michael W. Villwock of Kingwood, Texas; her sister, Peggy A. Martin of Springs, TX.: her sister, Peggy A. Martin of Spring, TX.; and her nieces, Pamela Prestridge of Houston, TX., Phoebe Rice of Augusta, GA., and Peggy Talley of Spring, TX.
